Bally beats competitors: 26% revenue increase

The 2nd biggest iGaming equipment manufacturer in the world, Las Vegas-based Bally Technologies, has achieved a steady growth per share on the company’s financial quarter report. Ending on 31 March 2013, the report shows total three-month revenues of $71m, which represents a 26% increase, compared to 2012’s results.

Austerity? What Austerity?

Despite the continuing recession and online casino sites taking over the US markets again, in just three months Bally increased its progressive installed base equipment by 73%, setting new quarterly record revenue.

The manufacturer’s financial report highlights the following accomplishments:

  • -$60.7 million in earnings;
  • -93 cents per share;
  • -$259.1 million in revenues (only in this quarter).

Revenues skyrocketed for Bally in the first quarter due to their efficient marketing campaigns and investment in new products and services, plus the company’s new alliances with online casinos.

Even though slots machines have reduced in price by 8% in less than a year, the company had an increased production of slots - 4,923 during this first quarter - a 15% increase, compared to 2012’s 1st quarter.

Bally Tech’s CEO Ramesh Srinivasan stated: Our recent premium and wide-area progressive product launches have returned strong initial performances in many different locations and the much-anticipated NASCAR wide-area progressive debuted last week.

Still, the numbers show a growing revenue percentage from land-based progressive casino games, proving that using the classic “one armed bandits” still pays off.

Bally is more than aware of the current economic changes and consumer behavior patterns that are modifying the way people gamble. Hence, the company is increasing its investments in online gaming, adding new licensees and continually offering more games at major online casinos such as Mr Green, who’s added Bally’s Big Vegas and Cupid Psyche video slots, among many others, to their portfolio.
