NetEnt Launches Their Innovation Week 2016

Any discussion regarding the best games provider currently in operation is bound to turn to NetEnt with haste. The Swedish company’s juggernaut continues to roll on at pace, with new partnerships all ready in the offing and a steady stream of new games releases keeping avid followers of the brand satisfied.

NetEnt’s Reputation for Innovation

NetEnt’s success owes much to the company’s progressive vision, which places innovation and creativity at the forefront of their thinking. Their games are renowned for their intriguing themes and beautifully rendered graphics but the design team show few signs of resting on their laurels. Now, company bosses are set to further challenge staff to share and expand upon their ideas with the launch of their latest annual Innovation Week.

NetEnt’s Innovation Week

The unique Innovation Week concept encourages all NetEnt employes to broaden their knowledge base and gives them an unprecedented opportunity to pitch any ideas they have to the upper echelons of the company’s hierarchy via the ‘NetEnt Den’. The Den gives staff access to CEO Per Eriksson and senior board member Pontus Lindwall, who are ready to listen to suggestions from all staff regarding ways the company can continue to improve and expand its services and product range. It proved to be a roaring success last year and is indicative of NetEnt’s ‘open door’ policy towards workplace relations.

The week will also provide opportunities for cross departmental training, regular seminars and workshops and health and fitness initiatives designed to look after the well being of staff and encourage an inclusive atmosphere that underpins the company’s workplace philosophy. One of the key seminar speakers will be Stockholm School of Economics Professor Michael Dahlin who will present a talk about fun in the workplace and how it can encourage creativity.

Looking at the Overall Picture

NetEnt’s Innovation Week runs for five days starting on March 14th.  Chief Product Officer Simon Hammon is excited by the possibilities it provides as well as the benefits it offers staff across the entire company spectrum.  “It’s important for innovative companies such as ours to take a step back from our projects and look at the overall picture of the company” he said “NetEnt encourages its employees to be creative, and this week we’ll be looking to bring those exciting new ideas to the fore, as well as having some fun along the way”.

Having already premiered forward thinking ideas like surround sound and 3D games visuals earlier this year, NetEnt look likely to remain trailblazers of innovation in the online gaming market for some time yet. It will be interesting to see whether the shoots of any further ideas will sprout from the latest edition of their Innovation Week.
