Play like James Bond

007 is so famous that it seems a bit inappropriate to even call him a secret agent. I mean what’s so secret about this man? That he likes women, that he can neutralise the bad guys in seconds or that he likes to gamble? We all know about that!…

In different movies James Bond is often seen sitting at a casino table enjoying a variety of different games and sipping on Martini.

Specialists claim that Bonds game of choice is Baccarat, a historic casino game enjoyed by high-roller casino players all over the world from Monaco to Macao

007 can be spotted playing Baccarat in the following movies Never Say Never Again, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Golden Eye, Dr. No and Thunderball, so it’s safe to assume that this gentlemen’s game is Bond’s big favourite.

He also doesn’t shy away from other attractions a casino has to offer, in Diamonds are Forever he can be spotted playing Craps as he racks up a solid $50,000 in 1 minute and walks away with the beautiful Plenty O’Toole.

In the 2006 version of Casino Royale, Bond also plays poker against the villain Le Chiffre.

We must say he ended up quite successful at it too, since he winds up with not only taking Le Chiffre’s Aston Martin off him at the beach club but also a $115,000,000 cash pot at the casino.

Of the 22 Bond films to date, the famous special agent gambles in a total of 12, namely at Poker, Gin Rummy, Backgammon, BlackJack, Craps, Baccarat and even Sic Bo.

One of the movies in which Bond stays away from the casino is From Russia With Love, which is actually a pity, as a game of Russian Poker would be totally befitting for this movie.

In general Bond can be characterized as something of both a lucky and a skilful gambler.

He is usually seen winning large amounts of cash and in his books, Ian Fleming showed us that Bond always played smart - when he was drunk or tired he always retired from the casino table and took his Bond Girl and/or the party to his hotel room!

Now there’s a great idea from a legendary character and gambler — quit while you’re ahead and on top of your game!
