Microgaming looks set to spin a timeless tale of good vs evil for us by taking us a back to the dark ages and joining a fellowship to collect the Holy Grail and all the riches with it, no less!
They plan to do this with Avalon II: The Quest for the Grail video slot, due for release in February, 2014 at Betway casino.
2 Years in the Making
It has taken Microgaming over 2 years (how long?!) to complete this medieval battle, setting a new precedent in game design with meticulous images and fully-animated characters, and surpassing the original Avalon video slot in all possible ways.
This is one of those few cases where a sequel excels its predecessor (exponentially in fact).
The American-based developer has had to push its boundaries even further to rethink what gaming is all about and to incorporate strategic gaming skills within the casino platform:
- At the very heart of this epic adventure you’ll find a sort of Lord of the Rings or Da Vinci Code-inspired codex that follows a journey into the depths of the medieval world.
- Once players trigger the bonus game they’ll open up a map with 8 sites, each holding a bonus feature that will eventually lead to more prizes and cash rewards.
Avalon II is a sort of a Bildungsgame where the characters’ journey, ongoing battles and new alliances will lead to players conquering the final goal of reclaiming the Holy Grail from the hands of evil, while accumulating an overwhelming variety of prizes.
The game is due for release on February, 2014, at Microgaming’s top licensees, including Betway Casino.
