What Payment Methods do Online Casinos Use? Part Three

What Payment Methods do Online Casinos Use? Part Three

We have to admit it, even we at Casino Daily News sometimes get bewildered by the vast range of payment methods which are out there; credit cards and debit cards, digital wallets, secure money transfer systems and prepaid cards — there’s an awful lot…

Well, whilst we don’t have the space here to examine every single payment method, we thought it’d be good to give readers an overview of at the very least, the most popular payment methods, casino-by-casino. Because we’re generous like that!

If you haven’t seen the first 2 parts, they’re available here and here, but read on to find out more results of our survey of the current payment methods offered by reputable online casinos.

Vegas-style Casinos

Don’t read too much into our naming casinos as ‘Vegas-style’. We don’t mean that they are somehow more pushy, or free-wheeling than the rest, or that they are only for high rollers or are all glitzy style with no content…

… all we mean by ‘Vegas-style’ is that they have a certain ‘look and feel’ that calls to mind the green baize and spinning wheels of the City of Sin, in direct opposition to some of the cooler and more subtle designs of some of the newer Casinos like Thrills.

So here they are, with the payment methods they offer!

Regional variations

As noted in a previous article, the legal status of online gambling is in something of a state of flux and has been for a while.

A state of flux, you say? Well, put it this way, despite the internet being a largely global phenomenon, linking north American megalopolises with small African villages, at least up to a point, there are legal restrictions in individual states.

For instance in Norway, in theory at least, the only way you can gamble is via the state monopoly. Online Poker in the states was effectively abolished in 2011, but it gradually seeming to be making a comeback).

Anyway, here are the regional-specific casinos, and their payment methods.

Russia

In fact these casinos, which include Azart Play and Banana Slots, tend to have their own payment methods such as QiWi and Moneta.ru, which are more suitable to the region and its emerging online slots market.

Scandinavia

As noted, Norway has a heavily-regulated online gaming sector and the same is true, to a greater or lesser extent, of the other Scandinavian countries too.

Nonetheless, as everywhere else, you have to make a payment if you wish to gamble for real!

Please note these 2 casinos are Scandinavian-specific, there are others, such as Thrills, noted above, which although based in Scandinavia, can be played from elsewhere, eg. the UK.

The same abbreviations for payment methods apply as last time (admittedly the list is shorter though!):

We’re into the home straight with this now — the next and final instalment of our Casinos payment guide, and the methods used, will focus on No-download casinos, so be sure to look out for that, and in the meantime happy (and secure) gaming!
