Scott Bennett (48) was feeling lucky and decided to stop by his local store to purchase one Megabucks and one Lucky for Life lottery ticket. However, faith had different plans for him, since the clerk issued two Megabucks tickets instead.

 

One of the tickets won him the Tri-State Megabucks jackpot worth over $2.1 million, which is available in several payments over a longer period of time. Scott chose to receive his money in one big chunk right away, which means he will be paid $1.3 million.

 

It is still quite an impressive sum and the winner already has plans for spending it. First, he plans to pay off the student loans of two of his children and start a college fund for his third child. After that, he wants to make the wife happy by having the kitchen remodelled. There should be plenty left over for some extra Christmas presents and to put away for a rainy day.
