Play nowBetway.com have recently conducted a research where they added together all the winnings and losses from various Bond movies. When calculating the outcome they also factored in inflation, so the results would be as accurate as possible.
It seems, that out of all the 007’s Daniel Craig is by far the best gambler, since he has won more money alone than all the other Bonds combined. In the 2006 movie, “Casino Royale”, he won £76,263,485 and an Aston Martin racecar by defeating his nemesis Le Chiffre.
But the other Bonds aren’t bad either; if you divide the total amount of money 007’s have won by the number of times they gambled on screen you will see that on average Mr. Bond wins £7,865,454 every time he gambles.
However, if you don’t include the figures from “Casino Royale” the average drops to £93,054.
The least lucky 007 appears to be George Lazenby, who lost £208,943 playing Bond’s favorite game - baccarat - in “Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. Perhaps, the poor gambling skills are also the reason why Mr. Lazenby is the only actor to star in just one 007 flick.
After looking at the numbers, Richard Akitt of Betway Group said: “Millions of people will be wishing they had James Bond’s luck at the tables.”
