All players who wish to participate in the Irish Open 2013 main event should get their tickets from Paddy Power Poker. Players who purchase their ticket through the online poker room will be given a €50 discount.
The online registration process is carried out using the Paddy Power Poker Holding Tank. Online registration closes on the 28th of March, a day before the Irish Poker Open starts.
The full ticket price is €2,250, but online registrants can purchase it for €2,200. In addion, online players have a chance to use their Paddy Points at the online VIP shop to buy in to one of Europes most prestigious poker tournaments.
The Irish Open festival will consist of ten events and will be held at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin.
Spokesman for the Paddy Power site said,
We wanted to give a little back to our poker players ahead of the best tournament in Europe so they’ve already started earning money - €50 is 20 percent of the registration fee
It is also possible to qualify for the IPO main event through many satellite tournaments running at Paddy Power. Those who qualify through the satellites or promotions automatically get to participate in the Sole Survivor competition.
The winner of the Sole Survivor competition will walk away with a cool €50,000 in cash, a WSOP 2013 main event ticket and a buy in for the 2014 Irish Open main event.
