The Paysafecard is a relatively new way of making payments via the Internet. Other than credit cards and e-wallets, it's a prepay service, which means that it's mostly anonymous. The way it works is very simple: At any outlet selling them, you buy a Paysafecard voucher for cash. The voucher comes in the shape of a ticket with a 16-digit code printed on it. This code is used to pay for a product or service online. Although some countries have introduced a limit for this kind of anonymous transaction, up to €100 nobody needs to know who you are when you make the payment.
Casinos often offer players a bonus connected with the payment method they choose to make a deposit.
The Paysafecard bonus will most likely bring you a deposit match offer. For example, if a site offers to match any deposit paid using a Paysafecard voucher by 15%, that means that depositing €100 will get you another €15 added to your balance. As usual, have a look at the rules.
This prepay service has become a standard with a lot of online casinos. Although its availability still depends on your country of residence,
you can use it very widely to make a deposit to a casino. The great advantage is that once the voucher is used up, it's empty, and to pay more you have to spend more cash. This makes the Paysafecard a good way to keep your finances in check, because more is needed than just clicking a button.
Prepaid vouchers are quickly becoming more popular, along with e-wallets and other alternatives to banks and credit cards. In the case of doing business with an online gambling operator the problem is just that they'll need age verification, which can complicate matters a little. It's possible that a casino will ask you to send in a confirmation of your ID for age verification, so the first deposit could actually take longer to process.
