You needn’t miss Las Vegas anymore; software developer NYX is taking a step forward in the technology realm by making land-based games available for the online platform through its new Thin Client Gaming (TCG) platform.
NYX Interactive, a video slots developer which has built up one of the largest gaming platforms for online operators has inked a deal with the software developer Leap Forward. Together they have come up with the TCG technology to bring great land-based games to all online platforms.
This is quite a ground-breaking change, as new games are usually offered first to land-based venues and only after a few months (or perhaps a year or so) do they make the transition onto the online platform.
With this new technology from NYX, this time lapse can be reduced to just a couple of weeks or even just days. NYX’s CEO, Matt Davey commented this week about this unexpected launch:
TCG technology expands our market significantly […] Now, the same game is able to be played online, as well as on land-based slot machine platforms without modifications.
This year alone, NYX has signed multiple deals with some of the largest casino operators in the world, including Betsson and the Scandinavian Casino Room. Furthermore, they’ve expanded their gaming content with more titles from SHFL Entertainment, NextGen, Cryptologic and Sheriff Gaming.
The same client server game can be seamlessly delivered via thin client [TCG] to all slot machines, all over the world,
highlighted Davey, who finished the platform presentation by adding:
We have not seen another system like this, and we welcome the new opportunities to increase revenue to operators with our games.
