Pharaoh’s Gold III
In a Nutshell
Pharoah’s Gold III is, as its name suggests, the 3rd version of the highly popular Pharoah’s Gold slot from Novomatic.
The main improvements on its predecessor(s) are improved graphics; essentially it’s otherwise much the same game – a 5-reel, 9-payline slot with some nice extra features.
A Closer Look
Pharoah’s Gold III has some nice graphics spinning on the reels. They are all in keeping with the theme, with no off-the-wall oddities as you can get in other Novomatic games, namely pyramids, snake charms, hieroglyphics and Novomatic’s trademark 10-Ace icons.
You can choose between 1 and 9 paylines, and there is an Automatic (ie. autoplay) function in case you don’t want to keep on clicking spin yourself.
Wilds are tutenkhamun’s head (or his sarcophagus mask to be more precise!) which substitute for all other symbols, plus also double all winnings which they form a part of.
Free Spins Features
The scatter symbol is a kind of eye hieroglyphic; if you get 3 or more of these on the reels at the same time then you get 15 free spins with a x3 multiplier throughout, and you can even bag more free spins if you get 3+ scatters during free spin play as well.
Special Features
Pharoah’s Gold III also has the signature ‘gamble or collect’ feature which Novoline/Novomatic put on a lot of their games. This is triggered every time you have a win in regular play, where you get the ‘take or risk’ option, which, if you take it, opens up a video poker type screen, where you can double your winning on the last spin if you beat the dealer’s card from one of the remaining 4.
You can continue to double up each time for a maximum of 5 times unless you either lose to the dealer or decide to claim your winnings. You then go back to the main screen.
