What started as some friendly jokes between poker celebrities Gus Hansen and Daniel Negreanu has resulted in an interesting matchup between superstars of team PokerStars and team Full Tilt.
Last week, Gus Hansen was in the mood for some friendly needling as he tweeted to Daniel Negreanu:
Hey @RealKidPoker remember this hand - Wonder if I ever get another chance to take your money
The hand in question was played in 2006 on the famous television show High Stakes Poker and featured Daniel loosing a huge $570,000 pot to Gus, who caught his one out on the turn to make quads.
After a short battle of words on Twitter, Negreanu sprung to action on Tuesday by issuing a challenge to Gus Hansen and his fellow Full Tilt pros Tom Dwan and Viktor Blom.
If Dwan and Blom confirm their participation, the battle will commence at EPT London in the form of a series of battleship style heads up matches.
Since team PokerStars Pro contains several strong high stakes heads up players like Isaac Haxton, ElkY, Vanessa Selbst, Jason Mercier and Eugene Katchalov, and Full Tilt team consists of just three members, Gus Hansen Tweeted to Daniel:

Daniel kindly agreed to this proposition, and soon, a list of available PokerStars pros will be made available, so the Full Tilt side can choose their opponents for this thrilling match, which has the signature of a massive media stunt written all over it.
