As usual, some stars went burst in the premiere to the season last week. That’s what always happens, and it’s an important lesson for us trying to win money from playing on NFL. Playing outsiders is the way to go.
Football is a tough sport and the margins are small. Injuries happen in every game which can radically change the gameplay on the green grid.
Motivation always beats class. Determining the most motivated team is one of the steps when I decide to handicap games and trying to find games where bookmakers offer value.
Take this Thursday night’s match, when the Ravens beat the Steelers 26-6. When they lost at home in a league game against the Bengals, they almost had to win this league game against the Steelers so that the uphill climb would not become too steep.
The games of the week are:
Miami Dolphins 2.00
The Buffalo Bills had a surprise away win against the Chicago Bears, as they are usually clearly better at home, and are always loaded against division rival Dolphins.
This will make many people forget that the Bills are a bad team and the Dolphins are a good team.
The Dolphins showed great team morale when they turned the game against the competent New England Patriots around. The new recruits all seem to be proving to be good investments, and that is exactly what is needed for the Dolphins to improve. I will probably play them often this season.

Tennessee Titans -3.5 points, 2.00
The Titans won convincingly this weekend. The defense impressed and the offense impressed. QB Jake Locker is good. He has just been injured a lot over the years, though, which has affected his rating. We are cashing in on that now.
In contrast, the Dallas Cowboys have one of the worst defenses in the league. It also became apparent that their offense might have problems this year too. It seems the reason is that their QB, Tony Romo, hasn’t completely recovered from his back operation. If problems persist with his body, or if his head isn’t in the game, we go against.

Arizona Cardinals -2 points, 1.95
The Cardinals are a really good team. It is hard to believe that they are still being underestimated after last season. It is a team with no weaknesses that can beat any other team in the NFL.
The New York Giants seem to fall apart like a house of cards. Their defense is lousy, which we already knew last season. Now it seems that even the offense is falling apart, and I’m not alone in thinking that QB Eli Manning is totally done as a player. It’s going to be a long season for the former football giants.
One of the league’s better teams against one of the league’s worst teams. Thanks for the coffee.

Indianapolis Colts – Philadelphia Eagles Over 52.5 points, 1.92
Two of the league’s best offense lines and two of the league’s worst defense teams. Sometimes it is no harder than that. I wouldn’t be surprised if they scored over 100 points altogether.

New England Patriots -3 points, 1.93
The Patriots are one of the league’s elite teams. Tom Brady is one of the league’s best QB’s. They are thirsty for revenge after losing a big halftime lead against the Dolphins in the south Florida sauna last Sunday.
They have a fantastic record of coming back in the following game, and here I believe it’s an easy trip.
The Vikings were looking good, but it was against a Rams team with an injured QB. Now they have to show their true colors, which are bleaker than people seem to think.

Green Bay Packers -8 points, 2.00
The New York Jets beat the league’s worst team, the Oakland Raiders, in a home game. Now they and others seem to think they are a good team.
They are going to crash and burn in Wisconsin on Saturday.
The Packers are another of the elite teams in the NFL. They got thrashed by the league’s best team, the Seattle Seahawks, away, and there is not much to be said about that. Especially not as their RB Eddie Lacy and their RT Bryan Bulaga got injured, which destroyed their chances completely.
The Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers is the league’s best and he will slaughter the Jets’ defense.
